Unfortunately, the paint finish wasn't very good; it had run on most of the chairs. They clearly weren't allowed to dry properly and were packed while still damp! There was also a very strong smell of paint. Stability is okay—we'll see how long they last. Hooking the fabric seat in place also takes some getting used to.
